Objective: To provide free food for poor in-patients. The scheme was motivated by
Smt C Padma Jagannathachari and  late Sri C Jagannathachari, a highly philanthropic couple.

Beneficiaries: Poor inpatients in all disciplines.

Source of funds: Donations from individuals, institutions etc. Aimed at a corpus fund of Rs.100 lakhs.

Project status: It is an on-going project serving food to about 50 patients daily.

Depending on the availability of funds from donors, the facility will be extended to more persons gradually.
