24 years old Mr Sujaikumar, was admitted by our emergency care team, with a complaint of abdominal pain on 30/09/2005. He was diagnosed as having acute appendicitis at a private hospital. In our Hospital ailment was provisionally diagnosed as Chronic pancreatitis on examination of Ultra Sono Graphy. MRI and MR Angiography were taken for confirmation. Report Shows, 2 calculi situated in main pancreatic duct were found. Pancreatic duct dilated. Medical & supportive treatment was given. After stablization, PANCREATO JEJUNOSTOMY procedure was done by Dr. Raghu Varadarajan and Dr. Shanmuga Bhaskar, senior gastroentrologists. Medical support was given by our Senior General Physician Dr. V Aravind and Dr. D. Patturajan Manasay.
Post operatively patient was kept in ICU. Post operative period uneventful. His glycemic control was maintained within normal limits through out the hospital stay. At the time of discharge on 20/10/2005, patient vitals were stable and he was comfortable. |
