Mrs N Rani aged 35 years was brought to Hindu Mission Hospital on 9th July 2005 about 8:30 a.m in an unconscious state, with snake bite on the right leg which occurred 4:30 a.m. The relatives brought the patients to Hindu Mission Hospital for confirmation of death and for a death certificate. The medical team of Hindu Mission Hospital, comprising of Dr.V.Aravind MD Physician, Dr.K.Subramanyam Medical Superintendent and Dr.Patturajan felt that the patient was in a state of deep coma with respiratory failure and promptly resuscitated her in casualty. Immediately the patient was taken to the intensive care unit with mechanical ventilatory support and anti snake venom therapy. After four eventful days, patient recovered substantially and was successfully weaned off from ventilator support and now the patient has been discharged. |
